Reserve ‘Jezioro Turzycowe’
- Kamienica Królewska
Reserve ‘Jezioro Turzycowe’ (11,39 ha) was created in 1959 to protect the only known at that time Pomeranian site of endangered few-flowered sedge. In Poland the plant occurs only in mountains and Pomerania, Warmia and Masuria. After cutting down forest on the lake’s edge and constructing drainage sedge the plant unfortunately died out. Currently efforts are being undertaken to reintroduce the species. A black walking trail leads to the reserve.
